Collection: McDermott G Series

McDermott G-Series Pool Cues

The G-Series is the heart of the McDermott line and the widest choice in it: from plain stained birdseye maple to cues with a dozen inlays, exotic-wood points and turquoise set into black urethane. Every cue is made in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and carries McDermott's lifetime warranty, warpage included.

What the series shares

Most G-Series cues use the 3/8×10 joint — wood to wood, with a firm hit — a 12.75 mm tip and the low-deflection G-Core shaft, whose carbon fiber core in the first inches of the shaft keeps the cue ball closer to where you aim when you use side spin.

The range, by number

G200s — stained birdseye maple from Dark English and Colorado Red to Pacific Blue, teal and pink; Irish linen wraps, pearl rings and inlays.

G300s — exotic woods and the Wildfire designs: cocobolo, bocote and zebrawood, wolf and clover inlays.

G400s–G600s — twelve-inlay cues, blue river agate, rosewood forearms, lizard-embossed leather wraps.

G700s–G900s — exotic-wood points, leather wraps, snakewood, padauk and turquoise inlays on black urethane.

G1000s and up — the top of the series: turquoise and mother-of-pearl inlay work, snakewood on curly maple, and the 2024 Cue of the Year (G3002).

Also here: the licensed Jack Daniel's (JD15) and Harley-Davidson (HD42) cues.

Which one

The joint, tip and shaft are much the same across the series; the price rises mainly with the woods and the inlay work. Pick the wrap first — Irish linen for grip in long sessions, leather for feel, no wrap for a clean, firm hand — then the look.

More McDermott: all McDermott cues, H-Series (i-2 shafts, quick-release joints), Select Series, GS-Series, McDermott cases, and Lucky by McDermott for the same joint on a smaller budget.
