Aramith Pool Balls

Aramith balls are made in Belgium by Saluc and are the phenolic resin standard the rest of the industry is measured against. Phenolic resin is harder and denser than the polyester used in cheaper sets: it holds a true sphere, keeps its gloss, and resists the chipping and clouding that turn a budget set cloudy within a season. A tournament set outlives several cloth changes.

The lines, from entry to tournament

Continental — the entry point into genuine Belgian phenolic. Everything a home table needs.

Premier — the professional standard: full 16-ball sets in regulation 2¼" (57.2 mm), and a 2¹⁄₁₆" (52.4 mm) version for smaller and home tables.

Premium with Vitrotech™ — a harder surface layer for a longer-lasting shine.

Tournament with Duramith™ — the fourth-generation formula Aramith calls the benchmark of longevity: up to five times the lifespan of a standard set. Includes the Pro-Cup value packs with the official six-dot measles cue ball used on television, and the Tournament BLACK Matchroom TV edition.

Snooker Premier — full 22-ball club sets in both 2¹⁄₁₆" and 2¼".

Collections — Camouflage and Stone: the same phenolic build under a granite or tactical finish.

Cue balls and training

Single balls are sold separately: the Pro-Cup measles cue ball with its six red dots, which is how you actually see the spin you put on the ball, the Q-Tru stroke and alignment trainer, and replacement balls such as the Duramith TV black 9-ball for sets that lost one.

Which size

Standard American pool takes 2¼" (57.2 mm). English pool and most snooker tables take 2¹⁄₁₆" (52.4 mm). Mixing sizes on one table changes how the balls carom off each other, so match the set to the table rather than to the price.
