ASKA Boston Numbered Pool Ball Set – Grade A, 2-1/16" (52.4mm) – 16 Balls with 6-Red-Dot Cue Ball – PB2116A

The ASKA PB2116A delivers Grade A performance in the 2-1/16" (52.4mm) size — for coin-operated pool tables, British pool tables, and any table designed for the smaller ball standard. Classic Boston numbered panels, durable Grade A resin construction, and a 6-red-dot training cue ball included so you can track spin and English from day one.

Precision-balanced for consistent roll and accurate rebound. High-gloss polished finish maintains vibrant colors and provides smooth, predictable table action.

Why Players Choose PB2116A

  • 2-1/16" (52.4mm) diameter — correct size for coin-op bar tables, British pool tables, and tables spec'd for the smaller ball standard
  • Grade A resin construction — consistent weight (140–145g per ball), precise roundness, reliable roll and rebound
  • Inlaid numbers, not stickers — number panels are permanently pressed into the ball; won't peel or fade
  • 6-red-dot training cue ball included — track cue ball spin, draw, follow, and English on every practice shot
  • High-gloss polished finish — vibrant colors, smooth contact, consistent play
  • Complete 16-ball set — balls 1–15 + training cue ball; everything needed to play

Table Compatibility

This set is designed for tables using 2-1/16" (52.4mm) balls. Not for standard North American pool tables.

  • Coin-operated pool tables — many bar and arcade tables use 2-1/16" balls for the ball-return mechanism
  • British pool tables — 6-foot and 7-foot British pool tables use 2-1/16" balls as standard
  • Tables spec'd for 2-1/16" — any table designed for the smaller ball standard
  • Standard 7, 8, 9-foot pool tables — these use 2-1/4" (57.2mm) balls; the ASKA PB01A is the correct set
  • Snooker tables — snooker uses a different ball set; see the ASKA SB02A snooker set

Not sure which size you need? Measure a ball currently on your table. If it's 2-1/4" (57.2mm), you need PB01A. If it's 2-1/16" (52.4mm), this is the correct set.

About the 6-Red-Dot Cue Ball

The included cue ball has 6 red dots arranged symmetrically around its surface. As the ball rolls after contact, the dot pattern shows your exact contact point and the spin direction — forward roll for follow, backward skid for draw, sideways drift for English. It plays identically to a standard cue ball and doubles as a training tool every time you practice.

Who This Set Is For

  • Bar and coin-op players — bring your own quality 2-1/16" set; stop playing on worn house balls
  • British pool players — Grade A quality at a fair price for 6 and 7-foot British pool tables
  • Players replacing a worn set — direct like-for-like replacement for tables already running 2-1/16" balls
  • Gift buyers — confirm the recipient's table uses 2-1/16" balls before ordering; if the table is a standard North American pool table, choose PB01A instead

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my table uses 2-1/16" or 2-1/4" balls?
Measure a ball currently on the table. Standard North American home and club pool tables use 2-1/4" (57.2mm). Many coin-operated bar tables and British pool tables use 2-1/16" (52.4mm). If in doubt, check the table manufacturer's spec.

Can I use these on a standard pool table?
Not recommended — pockets on standard 7, 8, and 9-foot pool tables are sized for 2-1/4" balls. Using 2-1/16" balls will cause incorrect play and may cause balls to drop too easily into pockets. Use PB01A for standard tables.

Does the 6-dot cue ball play the same as a regular cue ball?
Yes — it's the same grade, same weight, same size. The dots are inlaid and purely visual; they don't affect how the ball rolls or responds to the cue.

Are the numbers inlaid or printed?
Inlaid — pressed into the ball during manufacturing. They won't peel, fade, or chip with normal use.

What does Grade A mean?
Grade A balls meet consistent standards for weight (±3% tolerance), roundness, and balance. They roll true and rebound predictably. An upgrade over entry-level sets, without the premium price of tournament-grade balls like Aramith Pro Cup.

Is this the same as PB01A but in a smaller size?
Yes — same Boston numbered style, same Grade A construction, same green gift box packaging. The only difference is the diameter: PB2116A is 2-1/16" (52.4mm) for smaller tables; PB01A is 2-1/4" (57.2mm) for standard tables.
