Collection: Billiard Balls

Billiard Balls

Every ball set we carry, in one place: pool, snooker and carom, complete sets and single replacement balls, from entry-level resin to tournament phenolic.

By game

Pool — the 16-ball numbered set: fifteen object balls and a cue ball, in regulation 2¼" (57.2 mm) for American tables or 2¹⁄₁₆" (52.4 mm) for English pool and smaller tables.

Snooker — full 22-ball club sets, in regulation 2¹⁄₁₆" for a snooker table and oversized 2¼" for playing snooker on a pool table, where the pockets are cut for the larger ball.

Carom — matched sets for carom and 3-cushion, sized for a pocketless table.

By make

Aramith — Belgian phenolic resin, the tournament standard, from the entry Continental through Premier and Premium to the Duramith™ Tournament sets.

Aska — our own sets in the same regulation sizes, standard and Grade A, plus snooker and the poker-faced set.

Cue balls and singles

Balls go missing and balls get chipped, so single replacements are sold on their own. The spotted measles cue ball is worth a separate mention: the six red dots let you see exactly how much spin you put on — the fastest way to learn english there is.

What makes a set last

Phenolic resin is harder and denser than polyester, holds a true sphere and keeps its gloss; a cheap set goes cloudy and out of round within a season of real play. Weight consistency across the set matters as much as hardness — that is what keeps the roll predictable.
