Pool Tables
A pool table is furniture you play on, and it is bought once. What separates a table that plays well for decades from one that disappoints in a year is the slate, the cushions and the frame underneath — not the finish on the outside.
What we carry
American Heritage — the bulk of the range: Abbey, Alta, Annex, Austin, Avon, Bristol and more, mostly 8-foot with 1" slate and K66 cushions, in ash, walnut, espresso and charcoal finishes with a choice of cloth colour. Several come as complete packages with a delivery and installation kit.
Lanai outdoor tables — built to stay outside, supplied as full sets with benches and accessories.
Dufferin — the Canadian classic, including 9-foot slate snooker and pool tables such as the Regent and preowned Classic.
Choosing a size
An 8-foot table is the usual home size and the one most rooms can take. A 7-foot table is the bar format, and fits where an 8-foot will not. A 9-foot table is tournament size, and needs a genuinely large room.
Whatever the size, the rule is the same: measure the room, not the table. You need the length of a cue plus your stroke clear on every side — about 5 feet of open floor around the table for full-length cues, less if the room gets short cues.
What comes after the table
A table needs light over it, cues to play with, balls and a rack, and a cover for when it is idle. Most packages include the basics; the rest is worth choosing properly rather than settling for what came in the box.
